How to Start Earning Scene+ Points on Housing Payments

Getting started is simple. Once you’ve set everything up, you’ll earn Scene+ points on eligible housing payments every month. 

1. Apply for the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card

If you don’t already have the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card, apply here to take advantage of no transaction fees and earn Scene+ points on housing payments on your ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card (with minimum spend) using the Casa platform. 

2. Create a Casa Account

Sign up for a free Casa account and complete the quick setup process. 

3. Add Your Housing Payment

Enter your rent, condo fee, or other eligible housing payment, along with your landlord or property manager's payment details.

4. Connect Your ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card

Add your ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card as your payment method. Casa will post the payment to your card 3 days before your payment is due and send the funds to your landlord or property manager on your behalf on the due date. 

5. Earn Scene+ Points Every Month

As long as you spend at least $350 using this card on other everyday purchases each month, you'll earn 1 Scene+ point for every $1 spent on eligible housing payments through Casa and pay no transaction fees.²

Is there a transaction fee?

There is no transaction fee charged by Casa for ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Cardholders paying through Casa. However, other Visa and Mastercard credit cards are currently charged a 1.75% transaction fee. 

Can I use another Visa or Mastercard?

You can use other cards with Casa, but you won't get the benefit of the no transaction fee from Casa or the ability to earn Scene+ points earning on those housing payments, as those benefits are exclusive to the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card.
